Cannabis product review: Om Edibles Peanut Butter Puffed Rice Truffle

Dang. The first word I was able to utter after a bite of Om Edibles’ award-winning chocolate truffle was, sadly, a well-worn cliché. I have to say, I can tell why this formula won Best Edible in previous High Times Cannabis Cups and will most certainly continue to be a rockstar. It’s by far the best peanut butter edible I’ve tried, and right up there with my favorite edibles.

You bite down through a layer of organic Belgian chocolate, and into a mouthful of peanut buttery goodness (but healthy good-for-you peanut butter.) The puffed rice adds an irresistible crunch, but be careful, the inner layer is also where you’ll find very strong medication.

Don’t miss the rest of our package of reviews of cannabis products for pain relief.

Even though you’re going to want to keep munching, the treat’s strength is such that it’s best to quit while you’re ahead.

Though it’s just a large peanut butter cup, it contains a whopping 175 mg of THC and is meant for 16 servings. I had a small nibble, stuck it back in the freezer, and only had to wait about 45 minutes to feel the effects kick in. I felt very relaxed and increasingly sleepy. In addition to helping your nervous system unwind from persistent pain, this truffle may also help you fall asleep. Given its reasonable price point and concentrated dose of THC, this is a powerful ally in relieving pain that’s not going to break the bank.

The wrap: It is not a beginner’s edible, but this product is for you if affordability is a factor and you want only top-shelf ingredients that provide serious pain relief. The potent medicine is heavy-hitting, and the experience is simply delicious.
