At some point, Animal Control officers had to be called for at least one pit bull, possibly two, running around the area, according to dispatch reports. It wasn’t immediately clear if the dogs were in the vehicle or came from another location. Eventually, officers used pepper spray on at least one of the animals, the dispatcher said.

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were also called to assist, CHP officials said.

A person was arrested early Thursday morning, however, the person’s name and what he was arrested for was not immediately available.
